Michael Nielson - Administrator
Michael Nielson is the Administrator at Carrington Court. Michael received his Bachelor's of Science from the University of Utah in Business Management in 2007 then went on to receive his MBA degree from the University of Utah in 2011. He has also received his Level One and Level Two National Administrator Certifications from Senior Living University.
Michael loves the residents and views them as his extended grandparents. His philosophy is one of excellence in service and care, where the residents come first. He believes that we are here to serve the residents. "If we put the residents first and treat them like gold, then everything else will naturally work itself out. Michael really appreciates the staff at Carrington Court and puts great emphasis into the facility's hiring procedure. He believes in hiring the best individuals he can find and then treated them like they are the most important asset, because they are! He believes that if you treat your employees well and pay them a fair wage and give them fair working conditions they will reciprocate that treatment and give the residents and their families the same respect and dignity that they receive."
Michael and his wife Krista have four children, ages 10, 7, 5 and 2.

Nicole Hoyt - Director of Nursing
Nicole Hoyt is the Director of Nursing at Carrington Court. Nicole has been with Carrington Court for four months now and has become an incredible asset to our team of loving care givers. Before coming to Carrington Court Nicole was an RN for an assisted living community as well as a rehabilitation center. Nicole comes to us with a rich background in caring for seniors and we are thrilled to have her on our team.
Nicole loves the atmosphere of Carrington Court and enjoys caring for its residents. Nicole says, "It makes me happy to help people feel better! It is what I enjoy doing and am thankful I can make a difference in our residents' lives."

Tina Hoyt - Assisted Living Assistant Administrator
Tina Hoyt is the Assistant Administrator for the Assisted Living Community. She is married to Clark Hoyt and has three children. After working in the mortgage and title business for 15 years she really wanted to go into nursing. Although some acquaintances were surprised by her decision to change careers she knew that she had to do work that she loved. After obtaining her CNA she worked grave yards in a memory care facility and with a home health and hospice agency caring for seniors.
Tina began working here in October 2009. She describes her job as an assistant to everybody. She does anything that needs to be done. She is wonderful with each resident. She says, "All of our residents are so different, unique and amazing. Every day I learn something new about them. It's not just a job. I am always learning special unique things about them. I feel that a lot of them have come into my life for a reason. It was meant to be. I was supposed to be around them. They were supposed to be around me."
She loves coming to work every single day. She says, "It is very rewarding. I look forward to seeing the employees, the residents and their families. I love to associate with family members. Everything is rewarding. We work as a team to make everything better for the residents. I like being part of a team where family members come up and say you have the best staff. Others, vendors, volunteers and visitors say the same thing about our staff. I feel grateful and lucky for all of the opportunities I have been given."

Lindsey Krahenbuhl - Memory Care Assistant Administrator
Lindsey Krahenbuhl is the Assistant Administrator for the Memory Care Community. Lindsey was hired to oversee the Memory Care Community on December 13, 2013 and has done a wonderful job! Before coming to Carrington Court Lindsey worked as an Activities Director at a memory care community, a Receptionist at a doctor's office, and a CNA at an assisted living community. Lindsey received a Bachelor's of Science in Healthcare Administration in November of 2013.
Lindsey Krahenbuhl has been married to her sweetheart Kaylub for two years and are expecting their first child; for which they are very excited! When Lindsey is not hard at work she loves to spend time with her family. She loves the outdoors and is a great shot on the hunt, believe it or not! She also enjoys making and painting her own decorations. She loves to read books and to learn new things.
Lindsey loves to be able to make the residents and their families happy. I enjoy, "easing families' minds when it comes to caring for their loved one's needs. It is great to be able to be of help during the stressful times of caring for a loved one in need."

Iva Jean - Certified Dietary Manager
Iva Jean Pitcher and her husband Jeff have 9 children and 6 grandchildren. She has worked for over 20 years in the kitchens at Hotel Utah, Shriner's Hospital, Little America and the Hilton. She has also done private catering. She was the dietary manager at another assisted living facility in Salt Lake County for about 12 years when she took time off to care for her aged mother. She has two associate degrees and is a Certified Dietary Manager and a Certified Food Protection Professional.
She wants to provide healthy, nourishing tempting food that reminds the residents of the good times in their lives. Iva Jean says that, "The residents remind me of my mom and dad. It is like having many parents."
Iva Jean says that we have a good staff and that she enjoys working here more than any other place she has ever worked.

Diane Kunz - Activities Director Assisted Living Community
Diane Kunz and her husband, John have 2 children. She has been the activities director for the Assisted Living Community at Carrington Court since it opened. Prior to that she worked in the activities department of another assisted living community.
She says, "The residents are like family. When I plan things for them it is all about them. I want to plan things that they will want to come and do. I want them to be able to look at the calendar and have something to look forward to and feel a sense of achievement." "I love my job. That's why I do it. I like to do new things with the residents."

Shana Williams - Activities Director Memory Care Community
Shana Williams is the Activities Director of the Memory Care Community and is a wonderful lady. Shana first became involved with Carrington Court when she moved her mother into the Memory Care Community in April 2009. Shana was hired as the Assistant Activities Director in August 2012 and was promoted to Activities Director in February 2014. Shana is doing a great job and we are pleased to have her as a member of the Carrington Court team.
Shana was going to BYU studying humanities and education when the man of her dreams came and swept her off her feet. They have been married now for 40 years! Together they have six children and eight grandchildren. Shana likes to make quilts and read psychology books. She aspires to continue with her oil paintings. She loves to cook, trying different kinds of meats and dinners. Shana also enjoys camping and spending time in the great outdoors.
Shana truly enjoys the time she gets to spends with the residents. Shana says, "I enjoy doing things that make the residents smile and seeing their faces light-up! It truly makes me happy to help them feel good and enjoy themselves."
Shana is a creative thinker and puts her heart and soul into the activities. Come and meet Shana and see her creative side through her activities!
Tery Davis - Business Manager and Director of Human Resources
Tery Davis is the Business Manager and Director of Human Resources at Carrington Court.
Tery and her husband Bob have three children and three grandchildren. She started in banking and has done accounting for the past 20 years.
She enjoys making friends with the residents and visiting them as they stop by her office for a chat. She says she enjoys seeing the residents happy and content.
Tery also works with family members to answer any questions that may arise. During her time here she has come to appreciate the residents and their families and has gained great insights about the aging process.
Tery works closely with the staff. She says, "I enjoy everyone that I work with. In fact, I look forward to coming to work every day. There is no place else I would rather work."
Tery is a crucial member of the Carrington Court team. Please come and meet her.
Mark Lacy - Maintenance and Transportation Manager
Mark Lacy supervises our maintenance department and transportation department. Mark grew up in Millcreek and learned how to fix things from his dad. He graduated from Olympus High School and attended Salt Lake Community College. He has worked for Park City Mountain Resort and a title company. He came to work at Carrington Court in January, 2010.
When asked about our residents Mark says, "I love the residents. I love helping them. I love how thankful they are. It is great to get to know them, to know their past and who they are. I love working here. I love the staff. I love the management. I like my job duties. It is stuff I like to do. I like to fix things." Our residents also love Mark.
Mark has been married to the love of his life for one year and they are expecting their first child! He enjoys spending time with his wife being in the outdoors, hiking, rafting, and exploring ghost towns. Mark enjoys photography, snowboarding in the winter and riding dirt bikes in the summer.
Mark is a tremendous asset to Carrington Court! Come, meet Mark and see how well the building is maintained.
Christian George - Laundry Manager
Christian George manages and runs our laundry department. Christian has been with Carrington Court now for three years. He started as a kitchen server, quickly moved up to a cook, and now has been the laundry manager for one year and has done a fabulous job! He is a hard working, overachiever that loves to get the job done right.
Christian is from West Wendover. He moved to Salt Lake City to continue his education and start a new life with his wife. Christian recently graduated with his Associates Degree in Graphics Design from Stevens-Henager College. He plans on going back to school to get a bachelor's degree in web design. He enjoys watching sports and spending time with family and friends. He loves playing basketball and football. He is married to the love of his life and enjoys spending every day with her. They will celebrate their two year anniversary on November 19, 2014!
Christian is a fabulous individual and worker. He is very organized and professional. All the residents love him and enjoy being around him. We are thankful to have Christian on our team and appreciate all he does. Christian likes the residents and feels like they appreciate the help and always leave a smile on his face and are kind to him. He looks forward to coming in each day and seeing the residents, "they make my day!"

Carrington Court's Memory Care Community is designed to support seniors suffering from Alzheimer's Disease or other memory disorders. While safety and security are the primary concern, care plans are also customized to the individuals' needs and the family's wishes. Resources such as Alzheimer's support groups are often available to assist loved ones.
